Burning Man tickets just went on sale... and i'm not buying one.
::sigh::
this is a conscious decision.
this year Jodi and i are allocating our resources to buying a house (we hope). and that just doesn't leave space in the budget for flying to the US and all of the other expenses associated with going to Burning Man, especially from half way ( Read more... ) -

this year i spent more time at Burning Man than in any of my previous visits
and i saw far less art. which is a bit ironic given that there was more to be seen than in any previous year.
but my attention was turned to the Cathedral, and more importantly, my people.

i didn't see much art at Burning Man this year... which is ironic given how much there was to be seen.
but for me, this year's Burning Man experience was about
1. the Cathedral
2. (re)connecting with people
and of the art that i did see, i didn't take many pictures... but i did get a few.

friday night was an all night dance celebration at the Cathedral
and that is where i spent most of my night.
and i had a fantastic time. lots of surprise visits. people who i haven't seen in years, and people i hadn't seen before, but had been looking forward to

my evil twin
i like my little brother, but we don't see each other very often. the last time i saw him was 3.5 years ago.
at the time, we talked about Burning Man. he planned to go, but in the end, he wasn't able to that year.
anyhoo. we don't communicate very often either. i probably get about one email a year from him.
this year it came on August 24th
